Beliefs
Wabash Bible Ministries proclaims God’s all-sufficient, never-changing Word of Truth.
We believe in the historic Christian faith, the faith of Jesus and His apostles, which like God’s Word has survived the ages of time, despite the many corruptions, persecutions, and periods of spiritual darkness that have put it to the test.
We believe the Scriptures, consisting of the thirty-nine books of the Old Testament and the twenty-seven books of the New Testament, are the whole counsel of God concerning all things necessary for what we believe about God, His worship, man’s salvation, faith and life. In other words, Scripture alone is sufficient for what Christians believe and practice. The Bible is God’s revealed will for our lives, to which nothing at any time is to be added, whether by new revelations or human traditions; nor is anything ever to be taken away from God’s Word.
We believe that God alone is the Lord of men’s consciences. God has left men’s consciences free from the teachings and commandments of men, which are in addition to God’s Word in matters of faith or worship, or which are contrary to His Word in anything. Thus, to believe humanly-invented doctrines or to obey such commands out of conscience is to betray the true liberty of conscience by which Christ has made us free.
We believe that people are justified by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone and called to live to the glory of God alone.
We believe that there is one true God and one true church of Jesus Christ, which is the pillar and ground of the truth.
We believe that Jesus Christ gives His people true hope and peace. We have the hope of eternal life, for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. As the truth is spoken in love and embraced, we witness the Holy Spirit’s power to change and transform lives. We believe that Jesus Christ brings true peace and unity, if we follow Him and obey His Word.
We exist to help fulfill the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ, which calls His church to go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the triune God, and teaching them to observe all things God commanded us in His Word.
